The Assessor places an assessed value on each parcel,and from that assessment roll the County prints the Village, School, Town and County Tax bills. The Assessor accepts and processes all exemption forms; Senior, Star, Enhanced Star, Veterans, Business, Non-Profit Organization, Clergy, Firemens, Wholly Exempt properties, Home Improvements, Disability and all renewals each year.

Exemption Information:
All new home owners, including people that have sold their house and moved into another in the Town of Paris must now apply for the STAR exemption through NYS taxation and Finance. You can call 518-457-2036, or go to their web site www.tax.ny.gov.
If you currently receive the Basic STAR and are now 65 or older, please bring in a copy of your income tax forms and proof of age to apply. Please call to see which years income taxes will apply.
